Inspired by the iconic balloon dog form, this artwork reimagines pop art through a personal lens. The piece began with a metallic gold balloon dog sculpture from Kyle Mosher’s own shelf. After it was accidentally knocked over by his dog and broken into two pieces, Kyle saw unexpected beauty in its fractured state.

Rather than discard it, he transformed the moment into art — capturing the object’s new form in his signature minimalist and deconstructed style. “Broken Gold” challenges traditional pop art by moving beyond surface-level references and injecting story, imperfection, and transformation into the work.
